my unique Vday and birthday gift for mom
I never thought I’ll be very tired for the last few months. Trying to fit everything in my schedule makes me go gaga. All my energy is exhausted and all I want to do at home is to sleep. Weekends are not an excuse for me to relax.
Yesterday, I was able talked to my mom. I think it’s been two months since the last time I hear her voice. Well, she called not only for Valentine’s Day celebration, but for her 50th birthday and my birthday celebration in just one month. She is asking me to go home even for a day. She planned to host a party on the 24th. For those who doesn’t know my big day is on the 24th, mom’s b-day is on the 23rd. That’s just a day and we could celebrate it in one day.
Sadly, I can’t because I still don’t qualify for a vacation leave. In that sense, I have to give her a good and unique gift that she hasn’t received yet. I remember that she is keeping an old 8mm film of their marriage, her first and second childbirth and so on. I want to convert that 8mm film to DVD.
I know that she will love the idea as she keeps on watching video clips stored in DVD of my younger siblings. Formatting their marriage FILM TO DVD will enable her to watch the moments of how her married life started. For sure she’s not the only one who will enjoy my gift, but my father as well.
Before, I could order a film to DVD transfer; I must first secure the film from the house without them knowing it. Going back home is not an option because that would be too obvious. All I could do is to make arrangement with my siblings next to me. I hope they will not notice that I took their film away from them or else they will surely freak out. And if caught, then that would not be a surprise.
