do I need to envy?

February 27, 2009 by Denz · 1 Comment

I really envy my sister who made its way out of the county again. Tomorrow is her flight back to their home. This is not the first time she left the country as her husband’s job requires her to travel especially if there are major projects.

do-i-need-to-envyThe very first travel she went through is in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the first assignment of her husband. She lived there for two years. Our parents were able to enjoy it too, as they were granted by my brother-in-law a month long Thailand Holidays. I thought I will too since sis promised to give us her siblings a chance to visit their home. But it did not happen anyway. Of course we are just her siblings. She doesn’t have responsibilities over us.

But, it doesn’t stop me from dreaming that one day. I will conquer, ow wrong, I will visit and enjoy Holidays in Thailand. And that one day is so near. I can really feel it. I am very positive about it. Why not? I now have the capacity to do it. I am already earning a stable income so the possibilities are higher. If this happens, I will not forget to taste their famous Thai cuisine and take snaps of the place. Holidays to Thailand, just wait for me. I will surely enjoy every minute of it.

back in action for Tiger Woods

February 27, 2009 by Denz · Leave a Comment

back-in-action-for-tiger-woodsEveryone is gathered in great numbers to watch Tiger Woods prepare for American sports most talked about comeback. The people of Arizona then applauded him on to the 1st tee in bright sunlight as the world number one munched nonchalantly on a banana, seemingly in his own little world. Tiger had had eight months to visualise his opening tee shot, and sure enough it found the right edge of the fairway.

Tiger rifled the ball to four feet, and it soon disappeared for an opening birdie. An eagle would almost certainly have followed at the 2nd, if Brendan Jones hadn’t conceded the hole, and Tiger was up and running. There were no great histrionics from the man who has seen it all before, but after an uninspiring run of holes, he gave the galleries a moment to cherish.

In fact having reached the par five 14th in two shots, he rolled in a 20-footer from the edge of the green and raised his putter to the sky – but retained his poker face in case his Australian opponent wasn’t quite done. He then say that his rebuilt knee felt fine, that he would never turn up to a tournament he didn’t think he could win, and that anything he accomplishes on the golf course pales into insignificance compared to the achievements of his children.

i-am-boredI am quite bored yesterday that made me surf the net instead of doing some work. I ran across several sites. But before I retreat the web, the last site that captures my attention is Allegro Medical. I am curious about Nutritional Dietary Supplements like duocal that they offer. I go through pages to learn their services. Allegro Medical is one of the largest and most technologically advanced independently owned online retailers of life enhancing products in the United States serving serving more than 1 million customers. I think it is very interesting that online companies succeed in their goal for a long time. Allegro’s product line includes medical equipment, home health care supplies, Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Maternity/Baby Supplies and Outdoor Gear.

must know, before going out unfamiliar place

February 21, 2009 by Denz · Leave a Comment

must-know-before-going-out-unfamiliar-placeWhen out to an unfamiliar place, you would not go wrong if you just follow the exit signs especially if you already feel you are lost. Of course because of our curiosity, by nature, we tend to venture to new places without hesitations. Many people loved adventure in the wilderness, but there are others also who love to venture the urban jungle, the towering buildings and skyscrapers. But whether you like it or not there are instances that we get lost, in the first place being in an unfamiliar place you are already lost.

What better can take a person out of the wilderness? Just follow the stream of water which will eventually guide to a civilization. In the urban jungle, the only lead that will take you out is by following the EXIT SIGNS. You will surely find your head back on track.

You can’t call adventure when there’s no thrill. The thrill of getting lost and looking for a way out is by far very exciting and fun. But it could be frustrating and dangerous when you can’t get out from it. All you have to remember is to look for the exit sign that will get you back on track. Better get my head back on my work, before the lions will kick me out and lose my bread and butter.

Beijing Mandarin Oriental hotel fire

February 10, 2009 by Denz · 4 Comments

beijing-mandarin-oriental-hotel-fireAccording to the BBC report, a fire has engulfed a luxury hotel being built in central Beijing, killing one firefighter. Chinese state media reported that six other people had been injured in the fire that destroyed the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The 44-storey building is located a few hundred metres from Chinese TV’s iconic headquarters – designed as part of the city’s Olympic makeover.

It is believed that fire-crackers have sparked the blaze. The firefighter died early on Tuesday from toxic gases he inhaled while fighting the fire. It took almost four hours to bring under control, after it began on Monday evening. No-one was in the building when the fire began, hotel personel said.

People said that the blaze was spectacular, drawing onlookers from across China’s capital city as clouds of sparks and smoke spurted from the tower. Initial reports indicated firecrackers set off to celebrate the Lunar New Year, China’s most important annual festival, had caused the fire, said Xinhua a city government spokesman.
