Olympic Basketball Lead by Braynt to semi-finals!
The Lakers MVP Kobe Bryant scored 25 points to help United States to a 116-85 win over Australia and a place in the Olympic men’s basketball semi-finals. Americans moved up the gears in the second quarter, having led by just a single point after the opener. Now they will face Argentina who recorded a narrow 80-78 win over Greece.
Following his side’s match, US point guard Chris Paul said they were unconcerned by failing to find top gear in the opening quarter. Chris said “We were doing what we were supposed to be doing and they made tough shots, but sooner or later we’ll impose our will. I don’t know if you can keep up with us for 40 minutes.” The Australian coach Brian Goorjian agreed and said that he thinks they’re going to be very, very, very tough to beat.
